Founded in the year 2002 G.C, Infolink University College was from the first private institution to work on engineering and technology disciplines in Ethiopia, especially in Sidama & SNNP region. Since then the University College has been contributing a lot for the capacity building efforts started by the regional and national governments through producing qualified and skilled manpower and transferring of appropriate technology.
Currently, the University College operates in Hawassa, Wolayitta Soddo, and Dilla Towns. The University College gives trainings in wide streams as, Business, Social Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology. The training and education programs reach from certificate to Masters Level.
Infolink is an accredited University College by the FDRE Education and Training Authority & Sidama & South Ethiopia Regional State (SNNPRS) TVET Bureaus.
Since its establishment, in year 2002, the University College has created jobs for more than 1500 people. The number of graduates are more than 1000 in teaching fields, around 812 in Engineering fields (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, COTEM and Civil Engineering), and more than 20000 in TVET fields (Law, Accounting, Secretarial Science and Office Management, Surveying Technology, Information Technology, Library Science, and Human Resource Management). In addition around 1000 students have graduated in Computer Science at first degree level. That is, a total of more than 35,000 people have got the opportunity to acquire the skill, attitude and knowledge that enables them to participate in the national development plans and programs of the country.
Infolink University College is working hard to provide the training according to the national standards and the experience of other similar institutions. It is clearly seen that, due to its quality training, graduates of Infolink University College are having great demand in the labor market both regionally and nationally and significant number of these graduates have started their own firms in the areas of Business, construction, information technology and electrical engineering. To keep up this credit and increase the market share of the University College, the management and academic staffs are working better than ever than before.
The training and education in the areas of ICT is one of the pioneer programs of Infolink. It was started as Computer Engineering at advanced diploma level (12+3). Then Since 1998 E.C it started to offer B.SC Degree in Computer Science again the level has grown to M.Sc. in Information technology since 2012 E.C.
Through all these experiences and increased qualifications of the academic and administrative staffs and favorable teaching facilities made Infolink best fitting institution for Graduate and Undergraduate Studies especially for Engineering, Business and IT related trainings. The University College used the opportunity provided by the government planned to encourage private institutions so that they can participate in higher learning programs. I.e. undergraduate and graduate level studies.
The University College got accreditation in Masters of Business Administration (MBA), M.Sc. in Information Technology and M.Sc. in Accounting & Finance. It has also First degree accreditation from ETA in Hawassa Campus in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Accounting & Finance, Business Management, Economics and Marketing Management in Dilla Campus, Accounting & Finance, Business Management, Sociology & Social Works, Information Technology and Marketing Management in Wolayita Soddo Campus Accounting & Finance, Business Management, and Information Technology, Economics & Marketing Management.
The University College also offers Studies in Distance Modalities in its compounds at Hawassa, Wolayita Soodo and Dilla since 2008 E.C in B.A level in Accounting & Finance and Business Management and nearly 1000 students graduated under these modalities.
