Admission Overview

Below are the main steps you’ll need to follow to complete your application. These may vary slightly depending on your chosen program or study level.

UNDERGRADUATES Admission Steps

Applicants for admission to the BA/BSc degree at Infolink University College must satisfy one or more of the following criteria:


1. After Successful Completion of Grade 12 or Preparatory Program:

• Meet the cut-off points set by the Ministry of Education.

• Comply with the Senate legislation of the University.

2. After Completion of Diploma (10+3 or 12+2) or TVET Level IV in Related Fields:

• Hold a diploma (10+3 or 12+2) or TVET Level IV certification from a recognized institution.

• Certification by the Center of Competency established by the TVET Regional Bureau of Labor and Skills.

• Possess two years of relevant work experience in the qualification area.

• Pass the entrance examination prepared by the department(s).

3. After Having a First Degree:

• BA, BSc, or higher degree certification from a recognized institution in any profession, supported by an official transcript.

• Meet the admission criteria set by the University.

4. For Foreign Students:

• BA, BSc, or higher degree certification from a recognized institution.

• Certificates equivalence meeting Ethiopian Ministry of Education standards, approved and authenticated by the Ethiopian Transnational Authority (ETA).

5. Student Transfer:

• Transfer from a recognized University in the same field of study.

MASTERS Admission Steps

1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) To be admitted to the MBA program, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

o Minimum first degree in Management or related fields from accredited universities.

o Graduates from foreign universities must obtain degree equivalence from the Education and Training Authority (ETA) of Ethiopia.

o Pass the National Graduate Admission Test (NGAT) administered by the Central Authority (MoE/ETA).

o N.B. Applicants who score above the minimum standard on the Entrance Exam (as determined by MoE/ETA) will be considered for admission.

2. Master of Science in Accounting and Finance (AcFn) Admission requirements for the MSc in Accounting and Finance are as follows:

o First degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Banking and Insurance, Cooperative Accounting, Business Education (specializing in Accounting or Banking or Insurance), Business Management, or related fields from accredited universities.

o Master of Business Administration (MBA), ACCA, CPA, or CIMA from accredited institutions.

o Graduates from foreign universities must obtain degree equivalence from the Education and Training Authority (ETA) of Ethiopia.

o Pass the National Graduate Admission Test (NGAT) administered by the Central Authority (MoE/ETA).

o N.B. Applicants who score above the minimum standard on the Entrance Exam (as determined by MoE/ETA) will be considered for admission.

3. Master of Science in Computer Science (CS) Admission requirements for the MSc in Computer Science program include:

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.

• Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems may be admitted, subject to completing the following bridge courses:

o Fundamentals of Programming

o Data Communication and Networking

o Data Structures and Algorithms o Database Management Systems o Fundamentals of Software Engineering

• Graduates from foreign universities must obtain degree equivalence from the Education and Training Authority (ETA) of Ethiopia

. • Pass the National Graduate Admission Test (NGAT) administered by the Central Authority (MoE/ETA).

• N.B. Applicants who score above the minimum standard on the Entrance Exam (as determined by MoE/ETA) will be considered for admission.

TVET Admission Steps
Applicants for admission to all degree programs must satisfy one of the following criteria: • Successful completion of a two-year preparatory program with the minimum University Entrance Examination result set for admission by the Ministry of Education for the entry year. • Completion of a Diploma program (12+2 or 10+3, Level 4) with two years of relevant work experience after graduation, certified by the Center of Competency (COC), and passing the University’s entrance examination. • A degree program student from other accredited Higher Education Institutions who withdrew for non-academic reasons. • A first-degree graduate in any field of study from accredited Higher Education Institutions. Note: These minimum requirements may be scaled up when there is high competition for admission or at the discretion of the University Senate. In cases of high competition for admission, additional factors will be considered, including: • Grade point average at graduation • Additional training after graduation • Years of service • Gender • Supporting letters from employers
